アーティスト・絵画修復士
イタリア・フィレンツェにて絵画修復と絵画技術を学ぶ。テンペラと油彩を組み合わせた混合技法や、シルバーポイントなど古典絵画の技法で表現した作品を制作する。 保存修復分野では、主に紫外線や赤外線を用いた視覚的調査を専門とする。

Profile
Satoru Hamaya
Artist / Painting Conservator
Training undertaken in painting conservation and traditional painting techniques in Florence, Italy.
Artistic practice centers on the use of classical methods, including mixed techniques combining tempera and oil painting, and silverpoint drawing.
Specialization in the conservation field includes visual analysis methods employing ultraviolet and infrared imaging.
- Graduated from Tama Art University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting (Oil Painting Course).
- Graduated from the “Istituto per l’Arte e il Restauro Palazzo Spinelli,” Course in Conservation of Paintings on Canvas and Wood (Florence, Italy).
- Acquired the professional qualification of Painting Conservator (Regione Toscana, Italy).
- Studied painting conservation under Massimo Seroni (Studio Fortezza, Florence, Italy).
- Studied general photography, including shooting, developing, and printing techniques, under photographer Yasuyuki Matsutani.

Conducted pre-treatment condition survey and photographic documentation of a Crucifixion (wood sculpture, 16th century) held by San Lorenzo Church, Florence.
Produced pre-treatment condition reports and photographic documentation of an oil painting by Lorenzo Lippi (17th century), also held by San Lorenzo Church, commissioned by Dambra Laboratorio di Restauro (Gabriella Forcucci).

Created photographic documentation of Italian classical paintings for terahertz spectroscopy research, commissioned by the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan.
