新型コロナウイルスのパンデミックが始まった際、世界は大きく様変わりし、かつてない不確実性に包まれました。そんななか、思いがけず家族と過ごす時間が増えたことにより、現在と未来に向き合う機会を得ることができました。
日本においてはアマビエが、イタリアにおいては虹が、病への希望の象徴として掲げられました。本作は、そうした時期において、希望を届けたいという思いと、子どもたちの幸福を願う気持ちを込めて制作されたものです。
When the COVID-19 pandemic began, the world changed dramatically and was enveloped in unprecedented uncertainty.
In that stillness, unexpected time with my family became a precious chance to contemplate the present and the unseen future.
In Japan, Amabie became a symbol of hope against illness, while in Italy, it was the rainbow. This work was created during that time, with the wish to bring hope and to pray for the happiness of children.
